Slow News Day: The Beatles Love Soundtrack Review

December 28, 2006 · 1 Comment

If you’re a fan of The Beatles, you need to get this album. It is the most amazing tribute/best of album of the year. I’m a Metal fan and never enjoyed The Beatles as mush as I should’ve, but this album has turned me into a complete fanatic. The sound is clear as crystal, the songs are great Beatles songs, the best actually, the transitions between the songs are amazing: It doesn’t sound like the song ends, and it can really remind of the era and how much it effected the people.

As I’m writing, I’m listening to the album and it’s amazing inspiration. My mother, the biggest Beatles fan I know, cried when Roy and I gave it to her for Christmas as we listened to it. I’m amazed at how much I’ve gotten into the songs: Memorising lyrics, getting different artwork for each songs, download videos of them live performing the songs, and listening to them non-stop. Even if you’re not a Beatles fan, you should still pick it up and listen to it just to see if you like it, because I doubt you won’t. There is a DVD edition availible, which I was unfortunately unable to find, but I still advise you to pick that version up.

In conclusion, I give this album a 10 out of 10 and a huge recomendation!

Just wanted to let you know about http://www.wecallthismusicfab.com, a site devoted to original music that sounds like or is influenced by the Beatles. There’s a 24/7 radio stream devoted to this music, and there are audio profiles, including a brand new one with Drake Bell which will post this next week, who recently released his Beatles-inspired disc, It Takes Time.
